Welcome to the newest edition to the Alaska Podshow!
The “SanitySaver” is our moving portrait of Alaska, which we have set to release twice per month. I think it was KAKM (a local station), when I was a kid that would come on the air each morning and feature photos of places around Alaska, which they called “Alaska is..” so perhaps this is a tribute and extension to that.
USE ONLY AS PRESCRIBED
Suggested usage:
Find a quiet location, shut office door, take iPod touch or iPhone into bathroom stall if needed.
Dosage:

Arrrgh!
This is definitely fueling my desire to get back home to Alaska. I’ve been away for about 3 years and your podshow is constantly reminding me of what I left behind and what I miss.

Mitch!
Hey right on and happy you enjoy! While I’m currently in the middle of editing and producing a bunch of stuff, I can’t ignore the great sunset tonight! So I’m heading out to take a shot at time-lapse video perhaps for another SanitySaver
So you’ve been away from from Alaska for 3 years? Anything you’d like to see? Send me an email alaskapodshow@gmail.com
Cheers!

I was wondering what kind of camera you are using to record these great images? I have been a long time listener and now viewer.

The two camera used for shooting the show are a Canon XH-A1 and Canon HV-20 with a wide-angle lens, although the HV-20 will be upgraded to the HV-30.
I get these questions often, and probably should offer up a technical side to producing this podcast for other indie producers. I’m sure I’d have a thing or two to learn from others as well.
Cheers!

Thanks for the “sanity saver” show. Much needed for the Alaska chick living in Hawaii. As always, your shows ROCK! Keep up the awesome job you and your crew do. I can’t wait to be back in Alaska this summer. Even if it is only for a week. =)
Keep on keeping on. =)

Love the sanity saver - what is the name of the instrumental music? I really need to find it because it totally goes with anything Alaska!
It’s been years since I’ve lived in Anchorage but this brought tears to my eyes - and reminded me how much I miss the Land of the Midnight Sun!
Many thanks!
