Welcome to our first Behind the Lens update, which is a blog post to support our video Insider Updates and give you, our viewers, supporters and fans a place to see what we’re doing with Alaska HDTV.
From time to time we hope to keep you updated on our travel plans, business ideas, announcements and general news about the shows.
Our first DVD
By popular request and demand, we are working on our first DVD release! The final product is scheduled to be released this Fall and will include a cross section of our best HD videos produced so far. Video from all our series will be on the DVD including Hike of the Week, Adventure and Sanity Saver episodes. We will post a big announcement in our shows and online once we have the DVD ready! We’re heading to Seattle for a 2 day meeting marathon with prospective sponsors and advertising agencies to drum up some support for the shows! We’ve been scraping by on a short term deal we made with Bank of America (Alaska Airlines Visa Card) back in January 2008 - but we’re officially ready for more financial support.
Our goal is to find sponsors that will be appreciated by YOU and that in turn you will look to our sponsors when making decisions about your next Alaska adventure. Some of the companies we would love to work with include Alaska Airlines, Cruise West, Princess Lodges and Clif Bar, just to name a few! Send a note to some of these businesses and let them know you would really like to see Alaska HDTV be a part of their marketing strategy!
