RECENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: I was subscribed to the correct feed already, but now I see duplicate shows in my iTunes with slightly different names, why is that?
A: When we upgraded we also did some organization to archived shows, you don’t have to download the shows again if you already have them. You can always unsubscribe and re-subscribe again, but you’ll loose all the shows you already downloaded.
Q: I subscribed to you already from the iTunes Store under the Podcast directory, do I need to still need to re-subscribe?
A: Yes! Mevio was our past content delivery network and they have a copy of our podcast in iTunes, which we feel is confusing to our audience and we won’t be publishing to that subscription feed. Please be sure you’re subscribe to one of the above feeds in this post.
Q: I want to save the past shows downloaded and subscribe to your new podcast feed, is that a problem?
A: No, it’s not a problem. You’ll end up with two subscriptions in your iTunes subscription window, which only one will have the most current shows.

i do not have or want ITunes! Is there a way for me and the outhers that only use pc and do not use any of the apple stuff.

Absolutely!
1.) Miro = This is a great application, one of the best if you’re into video podcasts and internet television, and one I use more than iTunes. Here’s the URL http://www.getmiro.com they also have a great directory within the application and on their website http://www.miroguide.com
2.) Juice = Probably one of the most popular alternatives as a Podcast receiver. Side note: Can be buggy at times depending on the update in my experience, overall a great application. Here’s the URL http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net
Hope this helps, and I’m sure there are more platforms out there - these are the ones I know well. I favor iTunes because most of our audience comes from iTunes and are iTunes users - but - any of these two options are great.
Keep in touch!
Cheers,
Scott

Scott,
Thanks for the show and please keep ‘em coming! The show is the most down to earth version of Alaska as I’ve always thought it was. I mean, there are a few dozen shows on TV that deal with Alaska, but since they are all shot with particular sponsors in mind, the show ends up being about the sponsor instead of being about Alaska.
One of these days when I finally convince my wife to relocate to AK, I’ll be using some of the hikes in the show to help sway her opinion.
Also, I am very interested in the Ketchikan area? Have you done any hikes to Lake Perserverence or the Granite Basin? Those would be pretty cool to see. And this last one isn’t really a hike, but a trip on the AMH would be fun to watch as well.
Anyway, thanks for the show and I hope for your continued success.
