In this episode, Scott travels with Alaska Waters thirty five miles through the Eastern Passage from Wrangell to AnAn. AnAn is one of Alaska’s hidden gems, which offers unparalleled bear viewing opportunities extremely unique from any other part of Alaska. Witness one of the few places where brown and black bears thrive together and harvest salmon from AnAn Creek, which offers the largest run of Alaska pink salmon in all of Southeast Alaska.

E-x-c-e-l-l-e-n-t bear footage. When we visited Anan Creek, we had a brown bear chase us down the trail. Whoo-boy. A little too “up close and personal” for me. Our guide, Brenda Schwartz-Yaeger, was not concerned…although she shooed us back to the boat in short order. Wrangell is so cool. The whole family loves the town.
